Pune, March 6: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurates 12 km stretch of total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that the project will cost more than Rs 11,400 crore and is an attempt to build world-class infrastructure for urban transportation in Pune. The Prime Minister placed the project’s foundation stone on December 24, 2016.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveils the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the premises of Pune Municipal Corporation.
The statue is made up of 1,850 kg of gunmetal and is about 9.5-feet tall.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol were also present at the event.
