“Today I have inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 5,500 crore. I congratulate the people of Rajasthan for these development projects. Our government is focusing on providing modern infrastructure in Rajasthan,” PM Narendra Modi said.

Rajasthan’s chief minister stated the state has moved forward while welcoming PM Modi.

Earlier we used to compete with Gujarat & used to feel that we are lagging behind but now we’ve moved forward,” said Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.

The PMO stated that the projects’ main focus will be on strengthening connectivity and infrastructure in the area, and that road and railway construction will ease the transportation of products and services, fostering trade and commerce and enhancing the socioeconomic conditions of the local populace.

PM Modi laid the cornerstones for projects to build two-lane roads in Rajsamand and Udaipur as well as to renovate the Udaipur railway station.

In addition, PM Modi laid the cornerstone for the construction of a new line connecting Nathdwara with Nathdwara town in Rajsamand.

The 114 km long six-lane Udaipur to Shamlaji section of NH-48, the 110 km long widening and strengthening to 4 lane with paved shoulder of Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur Section of NH-25, and the 47 km long two lanes with paved shoulder section of NH 58E were all inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.

Prior to PM Modi’s arrival, the Rajasthan BJP organised a cleaning campaign in the Sirori district’s Abu Road town, where the prime minister will speak at a rally today.
