New Delhi, Jan 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai on his birth anniversary. He said his courage, struggle and dedication in the freedom movement will always be remembered by the countrymen.

Notably, Lala Lajpat Rai who was born on January 28, 1865, was a key figure in the Indian independence movement. He was one of the Lal Bal Pal trio of social reformers and freedom fighters who helped India obtain independence from British rule, together with Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, and Bipin Chandra Pal.
