New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, saying the operation reflects India’s firm response to terrorism and its unwavering commitment to national security.

Nation Salutes the Courage of Its Forces

Posting on social media on May 7, PM Modi wrote that exactly one year ago, India’s armed forces displayed unmatched courage, precision, and resolve during Operation Sindoor, delivering a decisive response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam.

Operation Showcased India’s Military Strength

The Prime Minister said Operation Sindoor demonstrated the professional capability, preparedness, and coordinated strength of India’s armed forces. He emphasised that even a year later, India remains as firm as ever in its resolve to defeat terrorism and dismantle the infrastructure that supports it.

PM Urges Citizens to Change Display Pictures

Expressing deep respect for the armed forces and highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor, PM Modi urged citizens to change their display pictures on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to the image he shared, as a mark of national pride and solidarity.
