New Delhi, March 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Mandya to officially open the Rs 8,480 billion Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway on Sunday.
The 118 km road will cut the trip from Bengaluru to Mysuru’s three hours down to roughly 75 minutes. In a news statement published by PIB prior to Modi’s visit, it was said that the motorway is anticipated to promote socioeconomic growth in the area.
The Prime Minister will be in town to officially lay the cornerstone for the around 92 km long four-lane motorway connecting Mysore and Kushalnagar. The project will cost 4,130 crore to develop. According to the statement, the project will improve connection between Bengaluru and Kushalnagar.
Around noon, Mr. Modi will officially open the motorway and lay the cornerstone for the significant road project.
The Prime Minister will hold a roadshow from the Inspection Bungalow Circle to Nanda Circle at 11.25 a.m. before officially opening the motorway. He will depart from Mysuru at around 11.20 a.m.
At 11.40 am, he will dedicate the motorway in Hanakere. From 12.15 to 1.15 pm, he will take part in a convention in Maddur Taluk’s Gejjalagere Colony. According to the press release, Mr. Modi will address the crowd from 12.40 to 1.15 p.m.
