New Delhi, July 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh on July 7 and Telangana and Rajasthan the following day. He will inaugurate or lay foundation stones for projects totaling almost Rs 50,000 crore during his visits, his office announced on Wednesday.
Except for Uttar Pradesh, all of these states are scheduled to have elections this year.
In a public ceremony on July 7 in Raipur at around 10:45 am, the PM will lay the foundation stone for several development projects and dedicate them to the country, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.
The 33-km-long Raipur-Kodebod section of the Jabalpur-Jagdalpur National Highway will be four-laned, as will the 53-km-long Bilaspur-Pathrapali stretch of NH-130. Modi will also dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone for three national highway projects for the Chhattisgarh section of the six-lane Greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor.
He will dedicate to the nation the doubling of the 103-km Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line, which was finished at a cost of Rs 750 crore, the 17-km Keoti-Antagarh New Railway Line, and the Indian Oil Corporation’s bottling plant with a capacity of 60,000 mt per annum at Korba, which was built at a cost of more than Rs 130 crores.
The Prime Minister will also begin distributing 75 lakh Ayushman Bharat beneficiary cards, PMO said.
Modi will travel to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on July 7 in order to attend the Gita Press centenary celebrations’ closing ceremony. At Gorakhpur, he would also signal the departure of Vande Bharat trains.
During the Gita Press programme, he would release the Chitramaya Shiva Purana granth and visit the Leela Chitra temple, the statement added.
Additionally, Modi will signal the departure of two Vande Bharat trains on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow and Jodhpur-Ahmedabad routes from the Gorakhpur railway station.
Modi will officially lay the foundation stone for the renovation of the Gorakhpur railway station in Gorakhpur. According to the announcement, the station would be renovated for about Rs 498 crore to offer top-notch passenger amenities.
The Prime Minister will arrive in Varanasi at 5 o’clock when he will participate in a public ceremony to lay the foundation stone for several development projects as well as inaugurate and dedicate them to the country.
Modi will dedicate development projects worth more than Rs 12,100 crore and officially launch them, the PMO said.
He will dedicate the dedicated freight corridor’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction-Son Nagar railway line, which was built for more than Rs 6,760 crore.
In addition, Modi will dedicate to the country three railway lines whose electrification or doubling was finished at a cost of more than 990 crores, as well as the NH-56’s Varanasi-Jaunpur section, which was widened to four lanes at a cost of more than 2,750 crores to facilitate travel between Varanasi and Lucknow.
He will dedicate a number of projects in Varanasi, including the construction and renovation of 18 PWD roads, the construction of the international girls’ hostel at the BHU campus, the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET)-Vocational Training Centre in Karsara Village, residential buildings and amenities at the Sindhaura police station, PAC Bhullanpur, the fire station in Pindra, the government residential school in Tarsada and the Economic Offences Research Organisation building.
The Prime Minister will arrive at Warangal, Telangana, around 10:45 am on July 8 and attend a public ceremony where he will lay the foundation stone for a number of projects.
He would lay the foundation stone for numerous significant infrastructure development projects worth approximately Rs 6,100 crore in Telangana, according to the statement.
These include efforts to convert the 68-km-long Karimnagar-to-Warangal section of NH-563 from its current two-lane to a four-lane design, as well as national highway projects totalling over Rs 5,550 crore.
The foundation stone for the railway manufacturing facility in Kazipet will also be laid by the Prime Minister.
The announcement states that Modi will arrive in Bikaner, Rajasthan, at 4:15 pm on the same day to lay the foundation stone for many development projects totalling more than Rs 24,300 crore and dedicate them to the nation.
