New Delhi, Nov 8: The logo, theme, and website for India’s G20 Presidency for the Summit 2023, the highest-profile international event ever hosted by India were announced today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The fact that the G20’s member countries represent nearly 85% of the world’s GDP, more than 75% of its trade, and around 67% of its people gives an indication of its worldwide clout.

“I congratulate countrymen on historic occasion of India’s G20 Presidency. ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’ is signature of India’s compassion to world. Lotus portrays cultural heritage & faith of India in bringing world together,” said PM Modi at launch of logo and website of India’s G20 Presidency.

India will now hold the G20 presidency from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023. India has a special opportunity during the presidency to be recognised as a nation that matters on the international agenda for urgent concerns.

The globe has been divided by the avian flu pandemic, the conflict in the Ukraine, and other geopolitical events, but India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, is anticipated to fight for “re-unifying” it. The Modi administration has planned a buildup that would culminate in a leader’s summit in September 2023 that will be unprecedented in Indian history in order to take advantage of the opportunities that a world beset by crises is certain to bring about.

The twin track strategy calls for presenting India in a way that has never been done before during the G20 presidency, as well as displaying to the home audience the diplomatic achievements of the Modi administration in positioning India to assume leadership responsibilities on the international stage.
