Ranchi: The term of the Jharkhand Police Association expired over a year ago, yet the election process remains incomplete. In response, the DIG (Personnel) has directed the association’s provincial president, Yogendra Singh, to complete the elections by January 15, 2025.
Headquarters to Decide Date If Elections Not Conducted
In a letter to the provincial president, the DIG stated that on December 23, 2024, the president informed the authorities about plans to convene a meeting in January to finalize the date and venue for the association’s seventh general assembly and elections for central officials.
The letter further instructed that the elections must be completed by January 15, 2025, and the headquarters should be informed accordingly. If the elections are not conducted by the specified date, the police headquarters will decide on a date, and holding elections on that date will be mandatory.
