Dhanbad Oct 28: Dhanbad police in swift action recovered the missing marble tycoon, Ghanshyam Agarwal safely within 48 hours, on Thursday morning from Kolkata. They brought him to Dhanbad in the afternoon and interrogated at Sadar police station for the reason behind him going missing.
Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Sanjiv Kumar, in the late afternoon today admitted to have recovered him from Kolkata and handed over to family members.
“The electronic device and Ghanshyam Agrawal’s last call before going missing in Dhanbad indicated towards him being in Kolkata. So we sent a team there on Wednesday and recovered him from the hideout,” said the SSP.
Sources said that his mobile’s last location was found at Dhanbad railway station at around 4 pm of Tuesday.
Ghanshyam at Dhanbad Sadar police station informed the media that he had gone to Kolkata by Black Diamond Express train on October 26. However, he refused to share the reason why he went away without informing his family members and staff of his marble establishment. He claimed that on Wednesday late night, he had informed his family members about living in Kolkata.
Ghanshyam Das (50) was missing since Tuesday afternoon. He directed one of the staff of his Dhaiyya based marble shop under Sadar police station to hand over the shop’s key at home at night and set out.
When he did not return home at night, his family members informed the police about his disappearance. They had apprehended either his kidnapping or him committing suicide.
SSP Sanjiv Kumar himself monitored the recovery operation and found him at Kolkata.
Ghanshyam Agrawal has marble establishments in three states of India.
