Police recover female body from Ranchi lake

Ranchi, January 13: Police today recovered a female body from Ranchi lake in the heart of the city under Kotwali police station area.

The deceased has not been identified so far. Police has sent the the body for postmortem at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) to ascertain weather it is a case of suicide or a murder.

Officer in-charge of Kotwali police station Shailesh Kumar said prima facie, the body condition does not suggest murder as no external injury mark was found on it.

This is the second consecutive day when police has recovered a body early in the morning in the Jharkhand capital.

Yesterday, a male body, identified as a thief, was recovered early in the morning from besides railway track near Argora station under Argora police station area.
