Pooja scam: ED raids people close to bureaucrats and government

Ranchi, May 24: The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday morning carried out yet another series of raids in the matter related to the money laundering investigation against suspended IAS Pooja Singhal.

According to the information, raids were carried out at the premises of Ranchi based builder Anil Jha and another businessman Vishal Chaudhary. The raids remain mainly focused on the posh locality of Ranchi namely Ashok Nagar, Argora and others. Information suggests that raids are being carried out at as many as six places in Ranchi.

Anil Jha is a private person who is said to be an employee of a businessman who wields considerable politically influential in the ruling class. Besides, raids are also being carried out at some places in Bihar.

Vishal Choudhary is said to have a very close connection with two top bureaucrats who are holding prime posts in the current government. His residence on road number six at Ashok Nagar was raided by ED officials. Besides, the ED is also said to be inquiring about a close relative of a top bureaucrat.
