New Delhi, May 4: Starting today, President Droupadi Murmu will travel for three days to her native state of Odisha.
Murmu will travel to the Mayurbhanj district’s Rairangpur, Pahadpur, and Baripada during her journey.
President Murmu will lay the cornerstones for the Pahadpur Community Centre and Skill Training Hub on May 4, according to the President’s Secretariat. She will then go to the Brahma Kumaris Centre in Hatbadra to introduce the centre’s “Addiction Free Odisha” initiative. The same evening, the Rairangpur Municipality will host a civic reception at Rairangpur Stadium in her honour which will be attended by the President.
On May 5, President Murmu will pay tribute to Pt. Raghunath Murmu on the occasion of his birthday. She will go to the Similipal Sanctuary later.
The President will attend Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University’s 12th convocation on May 6 in Baripada.
