New Delhi, July 21: After the second round, when the ballots from the top ten states were alphabetically counted, there were 1138 valid votes with a total value of 1,49,575.
According to Secretary General PC Mody, Droupadi Murmu received 809 votes worth 1,05,299, while Yashwant Sinha received 329 votes worth 44,276.
Notably, Droupadi Murmu, the NDA’s presidential candidate, was in the lead after the first round of counting also. Murmu received 540 of the 748 legitimate votes, but Yashwant Sinha received only 204 MP votes were counted first.
Notably, the voting began on Thursday at 11 am, and the winner of the race between Droupadi Murmu, the candidate for the BJP-led NDA, and Yashwant Sinha, the candidate for the combined opposition, is expected to be announced today.
