Ranchi, July 19: After an increase in the GST slab by the government, the milk companies along with a few other industries have increased the prices of buttermilk, curd, flavoured and normal milk. Amul and Sudha are a few to take the steps initially and increase the prices of their milk products.

The tax rate changes came into effect on Monday.

Talking in this regard on Tuesday, Mukund Agarwal, a shop owner in Doranda said, “We were expecting a price change in case of milk products, however, we believe that most products that are not sold much have the same prices. However, products like dahi, lassi, buttermilk, etc have had a change in price ranging from Re 1 to Rs 6.”
He further added that Sudha has increased prices more when compared to Amul products.
