Dhanbad Nov 24: A property dealer named Nanhey Khan was shot dead by unidentified killers in Ali Nagar (Wasseypur area) under Bank More police station of the district late in the afternoon on Wednesday.

The police said that Nanhey Khan (42) had gone to Wassespur’s Ali Nagar when killers fired around four shots on him. He was admitted at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) where he succumbed to his injury.

As doctors in emergency declared Nanhey Khan as dead, residents of Naya Bazaar and Wasseypur localities began creating commotion at the hospital. Heavy forces of police from Saraidhela police station were deployed there to control the situation.

On receiving the information, city superintendent of police R Ramkumar and additional superintendent of police Manoj Swargyari reached the spot and began investigation.

Police informed that the incident occurred around 3.30 pm.  Nanhy Khan had gone to Wassespur in connection to his business when unidentified criminals pumped bullets on him.

“Only after receiving the doctor’s report, I would be in position to share how many shots were fired on Nanhey Khan,” said the police officer on the spot.

Since Nanhey Khan was reportedly considered close to notorious gangster Fahim Khan who is presently lodged in Hazaribagh jail, eye witnesses of the incident were tight-lipped about the incident.

However, police have said that a probe is being conducted to nab the killers.
Last year, a property dealer Lala Khan had been shot dead in the same area.
