Ludhiana, Feb 6: Charanjit Singh Channi will be the Congress’ chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections. Rahul Gandhi on Sunday made thie announcement in Ludhiana.
“Punjab CM will come from a poor family, Chaani will be CM face for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections,” said Rahul Gandhi.
“It is a decision of Punjab. It is not my decision. I haven’t decided. I asked workers, candidates, MLAs, people, the youth of Punjab. what people said has led me to my final decision,” he added.
“I thank everyone. This is a big battle which I can’t fight alone. I don’t have the money, courage to fight it. The people of Punjab will fight this battle,” said Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi after he was announced as Congress’ CM face for the Punjab election.
