Ranchi, Dec.27: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today counted achievements of the state government on completing two years in office.
On the allegation of the BJP terming the anti-mob lynching law as an appeasement exercise, he said the mob does not have any religion and his intention behind bringing the bill is to secure people from mob lynching.
Speaking to a section of reporters, he said incidents of mob lynching have increased after 2014 when the BJP came into power and had the centre brought the bill on this issue state would have not brought the same.
On the union government’s decision to increase the minimum age of marriage for women to 21 from 18, CM Soren said the intention behind this act is not clear as educated people have already started following the same even before the BJP brought the bill.
On the protest of the JMM and the Congress outside the industrial units for the job amid invitation of the state government to industrialists to set up their industries, he said the intention behind this is to ensure maximum jobs to the locals.
He said that despite all odds the state government is doing all for development with its own resources and it will reflect in days to come.
On bungling in the JPSC PT, Soren stuck to his statement saying such issues are being raised against an independent agency as this time ST, SC, BC candidates have occupied some of the general seats creating problems for those who do not want ST, SC and BC to progress.
On most of the constitutional posts vacant in the state, he said it is due to the absence of the leader of the opposition and he is taking the opinion of legal experts on the matter.
