Ramgarh, April 6: On the occasion of the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace, a friendly match was organized between the employees of PVUN Ltd (Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam) and Mukhiyas 11 of the nearby villages today under the community development initiatives.
The game was held at the Imly Ground of Hesla in the presence of PVUN employees and other residents of the nearby villages. Both teams were eager to showcase their skills and put up a good show in honour of the special day.
Ravindra Kumar, CEO( PVUN), honoured the players with a cap and encouraged them for a good game. The match started with Team Mukhiya XI winning the toss and opting to field first. The game was inaugurated by Ravindra Kumar and Neeraj Kumar Roy by playing the initial balls. Team PVUN scored 90 runs in the ten-over game. However, Team Mukhiya XI kept the scoreboard ticking and won the game by scoring 95 runs in just eight overs.
The match was played in the spirit of sportsmanship and was a fitting tribute to the momentous day. Both the teams showed utmost harmony and determination, and the crowd was treated with excellent cricketing action. CEO(PVUN) felicitated all the Mukhiyas with a shawl and thanked them for their support. Sports kits were also distributed to each panchayat. The Mukhiyas highly appreciated the match and efforts of PVUN. Overall, it was a day that will be remembered by everyone who witnessed the game.
