Kolkata, March 20: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at an internal party meeting in Murshidabad district on Sunday.

As per information, Mamata Banerjee said that Rahul Gandhi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘biggest TRP.’

Mamata Banerjee said the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to keep Rahul Gandhi as a leader, adding that if Rahul Gandhi is the face of the Opposition, then nobody will be able to criticise PM Modi.

She further alleged that the BJP is not letting Parliament function as they want Rahul Gandhi to ‘be the leader’. The BJP is keen on making Rahul Gandhi a hero.

“It is the Congress that bows before the BJP. Congress, CPM and BJP are instigating minorities against the Trinamool,” said West Bengal CM. The Trinamool has lost a minority-dominated seat to Congress in an area in the recently concluded by-election.

The comments come after the logjam in Parliament over a row over remarks made by Rahul Gandhi remarks during his recent trip to the UK.

Earlier, Trinamool MP and the party`s Leader in the Lok Sabha Sudip Bandopadhyay had said the BJP benefits from Rahul Gandhi being the face of the Opposition.

Over the last several years, Mamata Banerjee has been on a collision course with Congress. The Congress is upset that the Trinamool is eating into its votes in Bengal and the northeast, where the party has contested in the recent assembly elections, but failed to win any seat.
