On Friday of last week, the central investigative agency sent a fresh summons to the Congress chief, requesting that he join the inquiry into the case of the National Herald by Monday. Later, it was postponed by one day.
She was last questioned by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday for almost two hours, despite vehement protestations from Congress leaders who said the BJP-led federal government was engaging in political vendettas. Additionally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had gone to the Delhi office of the investigation agency with her mother.
During the most recent meeting at the Enforcement Directorate office, more than two dozen inquiries were directed toward Sonia Gandhi.
