15 opposition parties led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took out a march from Parliament to Vijay Chowk. The march was held over the adjournment of the monsoon session followed by a press conference by the opposition leaders. Rahul Gandhi said that the voice of sixty percent of the people of our country is being suppressed. Moreover,. he alleged that the MPs have been offended in Rajya Sabha.

“We have asked the Government to discuss the ongoing Pegasus issue, Furthermore, we raised the issues of the farmers, along with the ongoing inflation,” Rahul said, adding that this is the murder of democracy. In addition, the Prime Minister of the country is striving to sell the country, the soul of the country is being sold to the industrialists.

“We will keep fighting against this,” Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said and added that martial laws were imposed in the Rajya Sabha. “It seemed that we were standing on the border of Pakistan. The government has assassinated the democracy every day but we will continue to fight against this government,” he said.

Prior to the joint march of opposition parties, all the leaders held meeting at the residence of Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. All the opposition leaders will meet Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu. The monsoon session of  Parliament was adjourned on Wednesday. The resentment of the BJP and the opposition parties was distinctly visible throughout the session.

In the Rajya Sabha, the opposition alleged that the security personnel misbehaved with the women MPs.  The opposition leaders said that this has never ensued before in the history of  Parliament. On Tuesday the opposition created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha, while on Wednesday Rajya Sabha chairman Venkiah Naidu had condemned it in the House.
