Jamshedpur, April 14: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing and distributed about 71,000 appointment letters at 45 locations nationwide to the newly inducted recruits in various government departments and organizations on Thursday.
The railway Rozgar Mela was held at Ranchi and Kharagpur under South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
In the Rozgar Mela held at Kharagpur, a total of 212 Appointment letters were handed over to the newly inducted recruits for different posts in various ministries and departments including railways.
In the Rozgar Mela held at Ranchi, Arjun Munda, Union minister of tribal affairs was the chief guest.
A total of 272 appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted recruits at Ranchi in different ministries and departments like railways, banks, defence and postal service.
The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The new recruits selected from across the country will join various positions and posts under the Government of India such as train manager, station master, Sr. commercial cum ticket clerk, inspector, sub-inspectors, constable, stenographer, junior accountant, postal assistant etc.
Addressing the gathering through video conferencing, the Prime Minister greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. He congratulated the candidates and their families for getting the appointment letter.
A spokesperson of South Eastern Railway said that the Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
