Ramgarh, Aug 9: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Radha Krishna convicted two of the three accused, Asghar Ansari and Tajuddin Ansari, in the sensational Kiran murder case in the Bhurkunda area of Ramgarh district. After gang-raping the victim, the accused killed her by slitting her throat with a bhujali.
Both convicts have been found guilty under sections 366, 376D, 302, 201 120B of IPC. Based on the evidence collected during the police investigation and the FSL report, the court convicted the accused on Monday. The third accused Adil Rehan is a minor so his matter is under the Juvenile Board.
The incident took place between 27th October 2017 to 19th November 2017.
Additional Public Prosecutor SK Shukla, appearing for the prosecution, told the court that Adil Rehan was in love with Kiran and took her to Bokaro. At the behest of his father and aunt, he was constantly pressurising Kiran to change her religion but Kiran was not ready to change her religion.
Then, on the pretext of marriage, Adil’s father Asghar Ansari and maternal uncle Tajuddin Ansari took her by train with them to Tajuddin’s house where Kiran was raped by all three of them. They then murdered her by slitting her throat and dumped her body in the Kokan river in Bokaro.
Later, during the investigation, the police recovered Kiran’s body and murder weapon at the place mentioned by the accused.
A total of 20 witnesses, including Dr Vikas Kumar, recorded their statements before the court where he mentioned that there was an injury in the private part of the deceased. The DNA report also revealed that the blood found on the bhujali was Kiran’s.
