Ramgarh DC instructs civil surgeon to scale up RT-PCR tests, set up testing camps

Ramgarh, Dec 28: In view of the rise in Covid-19 cases, Ramgarh  Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra on Wednesday instructed Ramgarh Civil Surgeon to conduct RT-PCR tests on a large scale, while in view of the new year, the Deputy Commissioner has planned to organise a corona test camp for a large number of tourists visiting tourist places. 

During the inspection of Sadar Hospital, the Deputy Commissioner inquired about the preparations made in view of Covid Civil Surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar.  

In this regard, the civil surgeon told that on Tuesday, the PSA plant, oxygen concentrator and other health equipment located at Sadar Hospital and Trauma Center were dry run and the process to be adopted for the treatment of any person after getting infected with corona.  

The DC instructed the civil surgeon to train all the health officers and personnel regarding corona-related works and give complete information in this regard.

She instructed to ensure that no person is allowed to enter the hospital premises without wearing a face cover/mask. 

She also inspected Pediatric ICU, Geriatric ICU, Isolation Ward etc. in Sadar Hospital and issued necessary instructions.  

On the spot, the DC instructed the civil surgeon to ensure the arrangement of an oxygen pipeline to the beds and adequate availability of oxygen cylinders as per requirement.

During the inspection of Trauma Center Ramgarh, the Deputy Commissioner while taking stock of the health equipment, oxygen beds, normal beds etc., directed the officers to remain on standby mode, whereas she inspected the PSA plant and informed them about the operation process of the plant in detail.
