Ramgarh, March 15: A district-level mining task force meeting was organised in the collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Madhavi Mishra DC Ramgarh on Wednesday regarding the work being done against illegal mining.
DC Mishra and Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey reviewed the work done in light of the instructions given in the previous meeting of the Mining Task Force. In order to review the work being done against the transportation of illegal minerals, mining from illegal mouths, etc, the DC and the Superintendent of Police have asked all the police stations in charge to conduct regular investigation campaigns to stop any kind of illegal mining.
The DC further directed the representatives of all the agencies including CCL to ensure that illegal mining is not allowed anywhere in their area. For this, the DC gave several instructions including monitoring sensitive areas, and entry-exit points and making other provisions through the adequate number of CCTV cameras.
The DC was further informed about the work being done by the District Transport Officer regarding the cases related to the illegal transportation of minerals.
Meanwhile, reviewing the work done so far under the District Survey Report being prepared for the purpose of stopping illegal sand mining, the DC instructed all circle officers to inspect the sites related to the sand ghats in their respective areas. She also instructed officials to make the DSR-related report available to the District Mining Office at the earliest.
During the meeting, the DC instructed the railway officials not to allow the transportation of minerals from the railway siding in any way without a transport challan.
Apart from this, during the meeting, the DC and the Superintendent of Police gave necessary instructions while discussing illegal brick kilns operating in the district, banning illegal mining in forest areas and other important issues with the concerned officials.
