Ramgarh, March 31: The District Environment and Pollution Control Committee headed by DC Madhavi Mishra organized a meeting in the collectorate hall today.

She first took information from the Regional Officer, State Pollution Control Board, about the work being done by them regarding pollution control and the action taken after the inspection campaign. She expressed dissatisfaction over the works and directed the pollution board to take the works seriously and take strict steps for pollution control. For this, the DC directed him to take strict action by conducting raids against all those factories which are not following the pollution control norms and to make the report related to the action available at the district level.

The DC directed the District Mining Officer and Circle Officers to conduct inspection campaigns in their respective areas and stop illegal crushers and other illegal mining activities.  During this, the DC instructed them to take legal action by immediately demolishing the illegal crushers if they were found illegal during the search.

The DFO asked all the circle Officers to provide reports related to the inspection campaign conducted in their respective areas regarding illegal mining and pollution-related activities and the action taken against them at the district level, in time.
