Ramgarh, July 12: The body of a farmer, Vidhasagar Mahto (36 years), son of Arjun Mahto, a resident of Potamdaga of Rajarappa police station area of the district, was fished out from a well on Tuesday. On information, the Rajrappa police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. It is said that Vidhasagar Mahto was working in his cornfield. But even after a long delay, he did not come, so the family members reached the cornfield.
But he was not seen even there, after a lot of searching, the body of Vidhasagar Mahto was found in a nearby well. The villagers expressed apprehension that after working in the cornfield, he must have gone to the well to drink water. While drawing water, suddenly he fell into the well and died.
On the information of the incident, Dulmi block twenty-point president Sudhir Manglesh reached and informed the in-charge of Rajrappa police station who took him to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased is survived by wife and a son. Sudhir has demanded compensation from the Disaster Management Department for the aid of the relatives of the deceased.
