Ramgarh, Oct 1: Police have arrested five miscreants who were wanted in a few cases registered at different police stations in the Ramgarh district. They were nabbed with weapons from a rented house in the Gola police station area.
Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey said in a press conference on Saturday that on September 30, police got a tip-off about the presence of criminals in a house in Gola. A team was then formed to nab them. At 7:30 pm, the five criminals were arrested from the house of Niranjan Chandra Poddar on Gola BS Road. A 7.65 mm pistol, two live cartridges, one tab, three mobiles and an Apache bike have been recovered from them.
The arrested accused were identified as Abdul Rehman, Dharamvir Sinha, Arjun Kumar, Santosh Kumar Ram, and Vinod Kumar Ravi. The SP said that these criminals have been involved in many robberies including the robbery in Ramgarh.
During the interrogation, the criminals confessed that they were planning to rob big businessmen and agents of the finance company.
Police Inspector Gola Rajesh Kumar, Rajrappa police station in-charge Vidyashankar, Gola police station in-charge Siddhant, and West Bokaro OP in-charge Surendra Singh were included in the team formed to nab the criminals.
