Ramgarh, March 30: State Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of 10 rooms in Sona Sobran Plus Two High School in the native village of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and former Chief Minister Shibu Soren.
Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi was present on this occasion as a special guest.
The event was organized near the martyrdom site of Lukaiah Tand, the martyrdom site of Sona Sobran. It was inaugurated by Mahato, Mamta Devi and Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra.
Deputy Development Commissioner, Narendra Kumar Sinha, while welcoming the guests, informed them about the ongoing work in the field of education.
Mahato said, “Today I have participated in the foundation stone laying programme at a place which is a historical place. Who does not know Lukaiyatand and Nemara in the state. This village is the ancestral village of Guruji Shibu Soren and Chief Minister Hemant Soren.”
“Now the direction and condition of the area are going to change. People will develop with the promotion of education in the region. The model school is going to be constructed here at a cost of Rs. 1 crore. the construction work will start tomorrow,” he added.
The education minister directed the Deputy Commissioner that the new rooms of the school should be constructed at the earliest so that Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Guruji and he can come and inaugurate it duly.
He said that the Clean School, Healthy Children campaign is being launched on April 1, during which the work of building toilets, drinking water and boundary construction of the school will be done.
Mahto said that the government is doing very good work in the direction of raising the level of education in the state. He appealed to the teachers to come forward and provide good education to the children.
“We have given Alto cars to the toppers of matriculation and intermediate of the state. This time also, the topper will be rewarded. The state government is going to send the SC, ST and OBC children of the state abroad for higher education,” he said.
He said that to reduce the distance between the police and the public, the in-charge of the police station and the police officer should go to the schools and talk to the children.
MLA Mamta Devi, on the occasion, said that the education minister is constantly trying to promote education in this area.
“I am grateful to him for this. Ramgarh has been lagging in the field of education for a long time. But now the education level of Ramgarh has to be increased. Special attention has been paid to drinking water, sanitation and toilets in the schools of the area,” she said.
