Ramgarh: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mandu, Ramgarh on Tuesday issued a weather forecast-based agriculture advisory bulletin for the farmers of every block of the district, in which the farmers were informed about the weather forecast for the next five days keeping in view the forecast based on crop management and farming.

Shashikant Choubey, weather supervisor of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mandu, Ramgarh, discussing the weather forecast, said that a low-pressure area has formed over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent South Andaman Sea, which is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal and adjoining east-central Bay of Andaman and southeast Bay of Bengal on 10th May.  It is very likely to move northeastwards till May 11.  Thereafter, it is likely to recurve slowly and move northeastwards towards the Bangladesh-Myanmar coasts.

The system is not expected to have any rain-bringing effect over the state of Jharkhand.  In the coming 5 days, the weather in the district is expected to remain mainly clear, with the minimum and maximum temperature expected to be up to 40 degrees Celsius.  He said that at times there may be light to moderate clouds in the sky due to which people can get relief from the sun but there is no possibility of rain.

He appealed to all the farmers to install the Meghdoot app on their mobiles and adopt forecast-based agriculture advice along with weather forecasts.
