Ramgarh: Man drowns while taking bath in Harhari river

Ramgarh, Aug 30: The dead body of a person was found in the Harhari river near Sanskar Colony located in the Bujurg Jamira of Barkakana OP area.

On receiving the information, Barkakana OP in-charge Mantu Chaudhary reached the spot and the body was fished out from the water.

The deceased was identified as Somra Bedia (56), a resident of Halhad police station Silli in the Ranchi district. According to the information, he was working at Vishnu Hotel in Ramgarh and used to come to Harhari river every day to take bath. Slippers, clothes and the cycle of the deceased were also recovered at the spot.

It is speculated that he drowned in the river due to slipping on his feet during bathing and died due to suffocation. The body has been sent for postmortem.
