Ramgarh, Oct 28: The member of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), Government of India Prof Dr Shahid Akhtar visited Ramgarh district on Friday and held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra, district officials and representatives of minority educational institutions from different areas in the Collectorate’s meeting room.

Notably, Dr Shahid Akhtar took information from Deputy Commissioner Ramgarh, Madhavi Mishra, District Welfare Officer and other officials about the work being done for the minority and the benefits being given to them through various schemes.

He apprised all the officers and representatives of minority educational institutions present in the meeting about the work being done by NCMEI and the objectives of the commission. He said that the government is running many such schemes, the benefits of which if taken in the right way, can be of great benefit to the minority community.

However, due to a lack of information in rural and remote areas, the schemes are not reaching the ground, he said that if education is provided to the children in a creative way and using scientific methods by the educational institutions of minorities, there will be good for all.

“Our country will progress a lot in the coming time. Through several schemes of the government, emphasis is being laid on providing education to children in the educational institutions of minority groups in different areas of the country in a scientific way,” he said.

On the occasion, taking information about the education being provided to the children of minority educational institutions in Ramgarh, he gave many necessary instructions regarding making them more creative.

In order to give information about government-run Pre-Matric, Post-Matric Scholarships, Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship and other schemes for minority people, Member Dr Shahid Akhtar gave wide publicity of scholarship schemes from DC Madhavi Mishra and District Welfare Officer.

He appealed to spread and benefit more and more deserving children by organizing camps in the blocks while working in a planned manner.

Notably, the member took information from the representatives of educational institutions from different areas of the district about the problems being faced by them during the operation of the institutions, while he advised everyone to keep in touch with the district-level officials regularly and get the benefits of the schemes. He gave many important instructions.
