Ramgarh: A ‘New Born Stabilization Unit’ (NBSU) was inaugurated at the Community Health Center, Gola. At present, three units of NBSUs have been installed in CHC. This will be used to treat new born babies.
In the inaugural function, MLA Mamata Devi said, “Sometimes the body temperature in newborn babies is high or very low during winters or sometimes the child does not cry after birth. In this unit, such children are treated with the help of high-tech machines.”
“Also, if the child suffers from other diseases after birth including jaundice, low birth weight, the baby is immediately shifted to this unit and kept on radiant warmer and phototherapy due to which the new born baby gets rid of diseases,” she added.
“Earlier, there was no such system here, which was causing a lot of trouble. Now with the establishment of this NBSU unit, the children of the area will get life. Our government is striving to make every basic health facility accessible to the common man. This type of state-of-the-art service is being provided in rural areas,” the MLA added.
