Ramgarh, Mar 26: Ramgarh Police have arrested two accused namely Vikas Kumar Pandey, a resident of Bijulia Talab Road and Prashant Chandra Poddar, a resident of Koiri Tola Ramgarh in connection with the murder of Ashok Pandey in Patratu on January 8.
Police have also recovered a country-made revolver, three live bullets and a mobile from the accused.
SP Prabhat Kumar on Saturday disclosed the matter by holding a press conference. He said that the murder of Pandey gang member Ashok Pandey is the result of mutual estrangement between the gang.
“On the order of Vikas Tiwari, the kingpin of Pandey gang who is lodged in Palamu jail, Govind Rai and Vikas Sao have got murdered together,” the SP said.
The SP said that during the investigation, disputes related to misappropriation of money, land purchase and sale are coming up against Ashok Pandey. Efforts are on to arrest the other criminals involved in the case.
Patratu Inspector Lileshwar Mahato, Bhurkunda OP in-charge Ajit Bharti, Patratu police station in-charge Shashi Prakash, Basal police station in-charge Rajdeep, Bhadaninagar OP in-charge Sonu Kumar and others were present in the raiding team.
