Ramgarh, Jan 16: Ramgarh police on Monday arrested Armaan Khan alias Rocky from Hazaribag who was the prime suspect in the murder of Mamta Devi that took place on Saturday.
Notably, In his confessional statement, he accepted committing the murder and the murder weapon has also been recovered.
As per the instructions of the senior officer, a raid team was formed in which Barkakana OP in charge Shashi Prakash, Sonu Kumar Sahu Patratu Police Station, Mayank Prasad Bhurkunda O.P. was included.
Mamta Devi, who was living in a rented house in Bhadwatand of Barkakana OP area of ??Ramgarh district, was murdered by her lover Armaan Khan alias Rocky Baba on Saturday night.
As soon as the incident was informed to Barkakana OP in-charge Shashi Prakash, the dead body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem.

The deceased’s sister Jaya told that the deceased Mamta Devi was earlier married to one Ranjan Kasera. For the last one year, Hazaribag resident Armaan Khan was continuously talking on the phone with her. During this, a love affair started between the two.
Moreover, Rocky started calling Mamta and threatened her to go to her place where she was living with her husband in Delhi.
Jaya further said that for the last 15 days, all families had gone to Delhi with Mamta. “Recently, we returned from Delhi with my husband Nikhil Kushwaha and Mamta. While returning, Khan alias Rocky came along with us from Hazaribag and reached Bhadwatand in the rented house in Barkakana OP area.”
“As it was my birthday on January 14, I, along with my husband Kushwaha went to Ramgarh for grocery shopping. During this, Mamta got into a fight with Khan. During the quarrel Khan killed Mamta. When we came back from shopping, we saw Mamta lying unconscious in a pool of blood. She was brought to Sadar Hospital, Ramgarh where doctors declared her brought dead,” Jaya added.
