Ramgarh: PVUNL commemorate International Women’s Day

Ramgarh, March 12: PVUNL commemorated International Women’s Day in a function organised at its campus on Saturday. Several programs were organised in Kalyan Gurukul along with PVUNL plant premises.

The speakers at the ceremony said that on Women’s Day, the whole world celebrates this day. The day signifies the importance of treating women equally without any bias or prejudice. It is celebrated to honour women of all ages and races. During the programme, shawls were distributed among the women workers of the project on behalf of Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti.

PVUN also witnessed a number of entertainment events including quiz competitions, writing competitions, slogan writing competitions, sports and many entertainment programmes on the occasion.

On the other hand, Alaknanda Panda, Vice President of Swarnarkha Mahila Samiti thanked all the office bearers and women employees present.

In addition, the speakers encouraged them to have an equal voice as individuals as well as being vocal about their views and opinions in the public sphere.

Later, a health camp was organised for girls at Kalyan Gurukul PTPS near PVUNL, where they were informed about how to stay healthy. They were also given a hygiene kit and a travel bag.
