Ramgarh, Aug 7: Angry villagers blocked the Ramgarh-Ranchi highways in protest against the murder of Ramgarh’s Mahi restaurant owner Roshan Kumar by bike-borne three armed miscreants yesterday. People expressed their displeasure against the police administration by burning tires in the middle of the road. No vehicle was allowed to pass through this route due to which long queues of vehicles formed on the road.
The displeasure of the people can also be seen from the fact that people sat in the middle of the road and expressed their anger against the police administration and kept demanding the police administration to arrest the killers as soon as possible.
The villagers said that the way the criminals have become uncontrolled and easily fled away after committing murder-like incidents in broad daylight, many questions have started to arise on the working style of the police. Even after the murder, no positive initiative can be seen from the police side.
Roshan Kumar (45), the owner of Mahi Restaurant and Hotel, was shot dead by criminals at Labga-Gegda More under the Basal police station area. The incident took place on Sunday late evening. Three bike-borne criminals forced Roshan to run around 600 meters and fired three bullets.
After the information, the police station in-charge reached and took Roshan to Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. Doctors said that Roshan had three bullets shot on his head. Before this, the police also scanned the CCTV footage of the hotel.
According to a staff present in the hotel at the time of the incident, three people wearing helmets came. When Roshan said that there was no beer, they started to attack. The staff then heard gunshots. When he came out, he saw the three criminals chasing Roshan. When he reached the spot, Roshan was lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
