Ramgarh: Shri Agrasen School organises rifle shooting competition

Ramgarh, Nov 28: The final of the Inter House Open Sight Rifle Shooting Competition was organised at Shri Agrasen School, Bhurkunda on Monday.  Rahul Yadav won gold in boys and Sanjana Kumari in girls. Shivam Kumar Singh, Abhay Tigga, Akshita Kumar and Pallavi Kumari won silver and bronze respectively among girls.  

Apart from them, Ashmit Sau, Sagar Pandey, Ishwar Munda, and Adarsh Kumar Minj were also rewarded for their performances. Jharkhand’s only National Shooting Gold Medalist Kirti Gaurav, who was present as a judge on this occasion, encouraged all the shooters and said that along with education, they should move forward in a disciplined manner by being energetic in sports. 

She said that the scope of sports has increased a lot.  With the help of sports, we can move towards a better future. The facilities provided by the school management to the children are commendable.

Moreover, the school director Praveen Rajgarhia said that it is their endeavour that the children get full opportunity to show their talent.  With this thought in mind, a shooting range has been set up in the school.  

He added that both boys and girls are getting an equal opportunity in rifle shooting.  Principal Vivek Pradhan said that right from the training of the children, all kinds of necessary materials are being made available free of cost.
