Ramgarh, Feb 15: A Road Safety Month organised from January 16 concluded at West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel on February 15.
On the occasion, the Security and Safety Department in collaboration with the Ghato OP Police conducted a road safety campaign near SBI Mode and asked the two and four-wheeler drivers to wear helmets and put on seat belts respectively. They also made people aware of road safety rules. Along with this, an awareness rally was carried out which passed through SBI Mode and ended at Purana Kanta.
During the month-long celebrations, various activities were conducted to make the workforce aware of the pressing road safety concerns and reinforce safety behaviours to minimize road-related incidents and injuries.
Apart from this, awareness sessions, a quiz competition on road safety, a short film competition and an awareness generation within the community were conducted by the school children.
Meanwhile, Sumit Singh, Sub Inspector, Ghato OP, Anuj Kumar, Senior Manager, Security, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, Arvind Singh Chauhan, Manager, Safety, Bokaro Division, Tata Steel along with others were present at the occasion.
