Ramgarh, July 1: Three people died while two dozen got injured in a road accident which occurred at the Digwar flyover.
The deceased have been identified as Md Idris Ansari (62), Shamsher Alam (40) and Shambhu Saw (30).
According to the information, 15 ferry shopkeepers who were returning by a pickup van met an accident at Digwar flyover of Kuju police station area.
All of the injured were sent to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital with the aid of the locals.
Three of the injured were pronounced dead by the medical staff, while the other injured were all being treated at Sadar Hospital while two of the injured were sent to Ranchi RIMS due to their critical conditions.
Police said, “All the shopkeepers residing in Lari under Rajrappa police station area had gone to Dadi block of Hazaribagh district to sell their goods by a pickup van in the weekly Haat market. While returning home late in the night, the pickup van went out of control near the Digwar flyover in the Kuju police station area. The pickup van crashed badly and all the people in the pickup van were injured.”
