Ramgarh, May 31: One person died in a head-on collision between a Swift car and a truck (turbo) near Patratu Dam on Patratu-Ranchi main road in Ramgarh district on Wednesday. Two were seriously injured and have been referred to RIMS for treatment. The deceased and the injured person were working in CCL Barka Sayal GM office.
On the Patratu -Ranchi main road just 50 meters away from Shankar Family Dhaba under Katua Kocha located at the southern end of Patratu Lake Resort Dam, in a Maruti Swift car JH 24 B 1355, three persons were coming from Ranchi towards Patratu. A person in the car died on the spot in a head-on collision between a turbo truck and a Swift car. Two persons travelling in the same car were seriously injured in the accident. Both the persons seriously injured in the accident were sent to RIMS Ranchi for better treatment with the help of the local administration and people.
Along with this, the body of the person was sent to the Community Health Center Patratu with the help of Patratu police at the accident site. It is said that the collision was so strong that the entire front part of the Swift car was blown away. Due to the high speed, the uncontrolled truck went away from the road near the mountain on the roadside. The front part of the truck was also damaged in the same accident. Traffic was disrupted due to road jams after the accident. Later, the vehicles were removed from the road. Now the traffic has started smoothly.
In another incident, a young man riding a bike was killed by an unknown vehicle late Tuesday night near the turning point mode located on the main road from village Rochap to Palu in the Patratu police station area. According to the information received, Phuleshwar Kumar Mahto, aged about 20 years, a resident of village Rochap, was seriously injured in a collision with an unknown vehicle while going on a motorcycle with a friend to see the village Palu Mandap Puja. After the incident, another friend riding a motorcycle who suffered minor injuries with the help of other passers-by took Phuleshwar Mahato to the Community Health Center Patratu where the doctors declared the seriously injured young man Phuleshwar Mahato dead.
