Ramgarh, Dec 10: An uncontrolled car rammed into two bikes on the Bhurkunda-Saunda D Main road near Jayaprakash Nagar in the Bhurkunda OP area on Friday late evening.
According to the information, Deepak Giri (38) and Deepak Prajapati (28), both residents of Hehal, were going from Patratu towards Hehal on their respective bikes. Suddenly, an uncontrolled car driven by CCL employee Sanjay Paswan (48), who was heavily drunk, rammed both men. Paswan’s car was coming from the opposite direction.
Both the injured were taken to Bhurkunda CCL Hospital by the local people, where they were referred to RIMS Ranchi for better treatment after first aid. According to the doctors, Deepak Prajapati’s condition is serious. His left leg got amputated in the accident. Deepak Giri also sustained a serious injury in his left leg.
After the accident, the locals caught the car driver. However, he was spared the wrath of the mob when the police arrived at the spot.
Car driver Sanjay Paswan is said to be a resident of Central Saunda. He works in the Urimari’s Birsa project. He has been taken into custody by the police along with the vehicles.
