Jamshedpur, Dec 10: Several parts of Jharkhand today woke up to overcast conditions caused by dense cloud cover which was due to the impact of the cyclonic storm Mandous.
Weathermen said night readings would witness a two to three-degree rise in the next 48 hours while day temperature would register a fall because of the cloud cover and unfavourable wind.
Met statistics suggested that most places across Jharkhand including Ranchi, Daltonganj, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad and Hazaribagh recorded minimum readings between 9-12 degrees Celsius.
All such places were expected to witness a rise in minimum readings, said a duty officer.
Meanwhile, the severe cyclonic storm “Mandous” over Southwest Bay of Bengal moved west northwestwards with a speed of 12 kmph during the past 06 hours, weakening into a cyclonic storm. The cyclonic storm would gradually weaken in the next 48 hours.
