Ramgarh, July 7: Anup Sao, a resident of Korambe Upar Tola in the Gola police station area, was arrested by the police on a charge of sexually abusing a minor girl for months on the pretext of marriage. He was later forwarded to judicial custody.
According to information, the family members of the victim had filed an application in the Gola police station against the youth of sexual exploitation for many years on the pretext of marriage.
When the victim got pregnant for six months, she pressured the accused to get married but he refused. The local Panchayat tried to resolve the issue by holding a meeting in the village but the youth and his family refused the wedding. After this, the girl’s family lodged a complaint at the police station.
Police station in-charge Siddhant said, “The victim has been sexually exploited on the pretext of marriage. The youth accused of sexual abuse has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Victim girl has been sent to Sadar Hospital Ramgarh for medical examination.”
