Ranchi, Dec 23: The Ranchi district administration has taken up the festive season of Christmas and New Year as an opportunity to achieve 100% vaccination by organising vaccination camps at important places in the city such as markets and religious places.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Central Peace Committee, Sarna Committee, Dargah Committee and intellectuals under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan.
In the meeting, the members of the committee gave their opinion regarding the places where vaccination camps should be set up in the city. Discussions were also held on which day and how vaccination camps would be arranged around religious places.
The members also talked about setting up vaccination camps on special days at religious places. They said that full cooperation would be extended to immunize the maximum number of people in the district.
During the meeting, the DC said that the city is fighting a war against Corona and the district administration will not stop until the pandemic is completely eliminated.
“We have been getting support from all of you in the fight against Corona and hope to continue getting it. There is no religion bigger than humanity and we need everyone’s cooperation to make Ranchi safe,” said the DC.
During the meeting, Additional Collector cum Nodal Officer Vaccination Ramvriksha Mahto said that till now full cooperation has been received from all the committees in organising the vaccination camps.
