Ranchi, Sept.24: A law and order problem arose today at the venue in Harmu market where Panch Mandi Durga Puja Samiti organizes Durga Puja every year for the last more than 25 years.
The situation arose around 11 am when Puja Samiti members started constructing a pucca office going beyond the limit of the venue and a cowshed owner, whose interest was getting hampered due to this, raised an objection.
Officer-in-charge of Argora police station Vinod Kumar confirmed the situation saying after interference of police the situation was brought under control.
“I have asked Puja Samiti members not to extend its venue limit and maintain the status quo,” OC Kumar said.
Asked if any violence took place following the law and order problem, OC Kumar said: “No violence reports. Everything is under control.”
It is worth mentioning here that the Puja Samiti has patronisation of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
