Ranchi, May 30: The Special CBI Court today accepted the closure report of the CBI in the Bakoria encounter case.

It implied that there would be no further investigation in the incident which came under the scanner after 12, including Maoists commander Anurag and his son died in the encounter with security personnel.

Jawahar Yadav, the complainant related to the Bakoria encounter, appeared in the court. After the approval of the closure report, he expressed his dissatisfaction and said that he would inform the facts of the report to the High Court.

“I will take the matter to the Supreme Court,” he said.

On June 8, 2015, 12 including Maoist commander Anurag and his son, nephew, para teacher Uday Yadav were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bhalwahi valley of Satbarwa block of Palamu. The security forces claimed to have killed all of them in an encounter.

Describing the encounter as fake, Jawahar Yadav, father of para teacher Uday Yadav, had filed a PIL in the High Court. The CBI had been probing the Bakoria encounter since December 2018 on the instructions of the High Court. In the last week of April, the CBI had given a closure report in the entire case.
