Ranchi, Feb 27: The kingpin of the notorious Samrat Gang, Jaynath Sahu, got relief from the lower court in Ranchi with acquittal in another criminal case.
It was a murder case registered after the murder of Birendra Sahu alias Feku Sahu in the year 2008 at the Lapung police station.
The acquittal could be possible after the prosecution failed to prove Sahu guilty beyond reasonable doubt despite producing six witnesses.
The Ranchi Civil Court Judge MC Jha passed the acquittal order through video conferencing. Earlier advocate Pritanshu Singh had argued on behalf of Sahu.
