Ranchi, July 21: The court of additional judicial commissioner Dinesh Kumar convicted six persons in a one-crore robbery case. Along with this, the date of July 24 has been fixed for hearing on the point of punishment.
Those convicted include Anmol Singhania, Wasim Ahmed, Najmi Hasan, Manoj Kumar Bhagat, Jasim Ahmed and Zulfekar alias Raja Khan.
The robbery had been committed on April 12, 2021 on Obaria Road under Jagannathpur police station area. Mahua dealer Shubham Aggarwal was the victim. He had lodged an FIR in the connection.
The police investigation suggested that the conspiracy of the robbery was hatched by Anmol Singhania, a friend of businessman Shubham Agarwal. After the robbery incident, the police had recovered around Rs 90 lakh from the hideout of the accused.
The three accused were arrested by the police on the fifth day of the incident and two others a few days later. One accused Raja Khan who remained absconding for many days had been arrested on 11 October 2021.
During the hearing in the case, APP Parmanand Yadav presented evidence before the court and ensured conviction.
