Ranchi, July 31: A Ranchi court today sentenced a devil in disguise, Anmol alias Kanti for life.
Kanti had killed two including his girlfriend, Silki, and her friend Anurag Vishwakarma and buried them in Ratu cemetery. An FIR had been registered in this connection on January 11, 2019 after bodies were recovered one after another. Vishwakarma’s body was recovered first and then Silki’s body was found.
Silki had been missing since December 25, 2018. Recoveries took place when the police were dealing with Silki’s missing case. Sujata Kumari Veenapani was Ranchi city SP when the crime was committed. Both were hacked to death.
Kanti is a resident of Dhobi Mohalla in Suryapuri under Pandra police station area.
